ZTE Blade A31 Plus Disassembly Guide: Full Teardown Step by Step
This is a full disassembly (teardown) guide for the ZTE Blade A31 Plus, based on the teardown reference. Use it to open the phone for a screen, battery, charging port or mainboard repair — the ZTE Blade A31 Plus runs on the Unisoc SC9863A and secures its internals with 18 screws securing the back cover. Work slowly around the ribbon cables (FPCs) and the 3000 mAh battery.
Tools you need
- Anti-static gloves and an anti-static wrist strap
- Tweezers
- A small Phillips screwdriver
- A plastic housing opening tool and a thin plastic card
- SIM/microSD card tray eject tool

Disassembly steps
- Remove the battery cover and the battery.
- Unfasten the 18 screws securing the back cover.
- Lift the back cover from one side of the battery compartment.
- Use the housing disassembly tool or your fingernail to unlock and remove the back cover.
- Unlock the LCD FPC connector.
- Take the LCD FPC out of the connector.
- Flip the lock on the touch panel FPC connector.
- Take the touch panel FPC out of the connector.
- Disconnect the RF cable from the mainboard.
- Lift the mainboard from near the lock on the front cover.
- Disconnect the RF cable from the sub-board.
- Remove the RF cable.
- Unlock the sub-board FPC connector.
- Take the sub-board FPC out of the connector.
- Loosen the vibrator adhered to the front cover.
- Remove the sub-board.
- Remove the speaker.
- Loosen the metal contacts of the SKFPC from the front cover.
- Remove the SKFPC from the side of the front cover.
- Disconnect the front camera connector and remove the front camera.
- Unlock the connector for the back camera.
- Remove the back camera from connector.
