Nearly every phone that looks "dead" falls into one of a handful of buckets, and most of them are software faults you can repair yourself at home with the manufacturer's own firmware:
- Bootloop — the phone restarts endlessly at the logo, usually after a failed update or a wrong firmware flash. Bootloop repair guide

Frequently asked questions
Can flashing stock firmware fix a phone that will not turn on?
Often yes — if the phone still shows any sign of life (a charging LED, a vibration, or your PC detecting it when plugged in), the problem is usually software and re-flashing the stock firmware can revive it. If there is no reaction at all and the phone was dropped or got wet, the fault is normally hardware and flashing will not help.
How do I know which firmware file is the right one?
Match the exact model code, not just the marketing name. A Tecno Spark 20 sold in India and the same phone sold in Nigeria can use different builds. Find the model code on the box, in Settings, or under the battery, then open that exact model page on ROM Palace and pick the build for your region.
Does ROM Palace sell phones?
No. We are a free firmware archive. When a phone is genuinely beyond software repair, this tool suggests current devices from our catalog based on their published specifications, and links you to marketplaces where you can check the price yourself. We do not set or show prices.
Why do you only suggest devices that still receive firmware updates?
Because it is the honest signal we actually have. We do not hold launch dates or prices, so instead of guessing we only suggest devices whose manufacturer firmware is still being released — which also means that if the phone ever breaks, you will find the files to repair it here.
