How this works
Every suggestion comes from the 700 devices in our catalog that have complete, published specifications and are still getting official firmware updates. We never ask you to pick a brand — we rank all brands together on what you told us matters, aim at the chipset class that fits how you'll use the phone, and break ties by which device has the most recent firmware.
What we deliberately do not do: ask your budget (we hold no price data), claim a phone is "new" (we hold no launch dates), or score a device on a specification the manufacturer never published. A missing value keeps a device out of the ranking rather than being filled in with an assumption.

How are these phones chosen?
From the manufacturer specifications in our firmware catalog. A device only appears if its chipset, battery, camera and screen size are all published — we never fill in a missing value with a guess.
Do you sell these phones?
No. ROM Palace is a free firmware archive. We hold no price data and take no orders. Open a device page to check the price at the marketplaces available in your country.
Why do you only suggest phones that still get firmware?
Because it is the honest signal we actually have. We do not hold launch dates, but we do know which devices the manufacturer is still shipping official firmware for. That is a good proxy for "still supported" — and it means that if the phone ever breaks, the repair files are here too.
Why is there no budget question?
Because we have no price data, and prices for these brands swing widely between countries. Asking for a budget would imply we can match it. We rank on specifications we can verify, and you check the price where you buy.
