ZTE Blade A35 Screen Replacement: Display Module Guide
The ZTE Blade A35 has a 6.75-inch 90 Hz IPS LCD (720 x 1600) display. If the glass is cracked or the touch has stopped responding, the fix is a full display-module swap. This guide covers reaching and replacing it the way the teardown reference describes.
What you are replacing
On the ZTE Blade A35 the display module is bonded to the front cover and connects to the mainboard through the display FPC ribbon. You disconnect that ribbon, separate the module and fit the new one.
Replacement steps
- Open the phone: remove the card tray, release the battery cover and the 17 screws on the middle frame (full order in the teardown guide).
- Disconnect the battery from the mainboard first for safety.
- Disconnect the LCD/display FPC (and the touch-panel FPC where separate) from the mainboard.
- Warm the edges to soften the display adhesive, then separate the old display module from the front cover with a plastic tool.
- Fit the new display module, route and reconnect the display FPC to the mainboard.
- Reconnect the battery last, reassemble and test.
💡 Before closing the phone, run the built-in function test to confirm touch, display and keys all work.
