How to Install Teclast Tablet Windows Drivers (Fix Wi-Fi, Touch & Sound)
After you reinstall Windows on a Teclast tablet, some hardware — Wi-Fi, the touchscreen, sound, or sensors — may not work until you install the tablet’s official driver package. Teclast ships these drivers in a single folder that installs them all at once. This guide covers that process. Use it after a clean Windows install, or any time a device shows up with a warning in Device Manager.
Before you start
- Make sure the tablet’s battery is above 80%, or keep it on power during the install.
- Back up any important files first.
- Find the 4-character Product ID on the back of the tablet — you need it to download the matching driver package.
- You will need a way to move a file onto the tablet (a USB flash drive or microSD card) if Wi-Fi isn’t working yet.
Download and place the driver folder
- On a working computer, download the matching driver package — free on ROM Palace, or from Teclast Support → Software Download (en.teclast.com) using your Product ID.
- Extract the downloaded Driver_inf archive so you have a folder named Driver_inf.
- Copy the Driver_inf folder — using a USB drive or SD card if needed — to the root of the tablet’s C: drive (i.e. C:\Driver_inf).
- Do not rename the folder and do not move it into a subfolder; the installer expects it in the root of C:.
💡 Keeping the folder name and location exactly as provided matters — the setup script looks for that specific path.
Install all drivers at once
- Open the Driver_inf folder and find the file named setup.cmd.
- Right-click setup.cmd and choose “Run as administrator”.
- When the User Account Control window appears, click Yes.
- The script automatically detects and installs every missing driver for the tablet’s Windows system — leave it running until it finishes.
- If a Windows Security prompt asks whether to install a device driver, choose Install so the process can complete.
- When it’s done, restart the tablet and check that Wi-Fi, touch and sound now work. Open Device Manager to confirm there are no remaining warning icons.
Common problems
- setup.cmd does nothing: make sure you chose “Run as administrator”, and that the Driver_inf folder is in C:\ (not in Downloads or a subfolder).
- A device still has a warning in Device Manager: you may have the wrong package — re-download the driver that matches your exact Product ID.
- No internet to download drivers: get the package on another computer and copy it over with a USB drive or SD card.
- Touch or Wi-Fi still dead after a reboot: reinstall Windows from the matching system firmware first, then run the drivers again.
