ZTE Blade A52 Disassembly Guide: Full Teardown Step by Step

This is a full disassembly (teardown) guide for the ZTE Blade A52, based on the teardown reference. Follow it to open the phone for a screen, battery, charging port or mainboard repair. Work on an anti-static mat, take your time, and keep the screws organized — the A52 uses 19 screws in total.

Tools you need

  • Anti-static gloves and an anti-static wrist strap
  • Tweezers
  • A small Phillips screwdriver
  • A plastic housing opening tool
  • SIM/microSD card tray eject tool
  • A heating table or heat mat (to soften the battery adhesive)
  • A plastic crowbar / spudger and a thin plastic card

💡 Opening the phone breaks the anti-dismantle tag and voids the warranty. The waterproof tag will also change color if it gets wet — check both before you start a warranty repair.

Screws and torque

The Blade A52 uses two screw types. Use a torque driver where possible and follow ZTE’s spec so you don’t strip the threads:

Disassembly steps

  1. Remove the nano-SIM / microSDXC card tray with the eject tool.
  2. Use the housing opening tool to separate the battery cover in the side-key area, then slide it around the cover to remove it.
  3. Unfasten the 17 screws securing the upper and lower brackets.
  4. Remove the upper bracket with tweezers.
  5. Remove the Flash FPC from the upper bracket.
  6. Unlock the lower bracket from the left and right sides.
  7. Remove the lower bracket.
  8. Remove the antenna spring from the lower-right corner of the lower bracket.
  9. Remove the speaker from the lower bracket.
  10. Remove the graphite mylar from the battery and the mainboard.
  11. Disconnect the RF line, the LCD FPC, the SUBFPC and the battery from the mainboard.
  12. Unfasten the screw securing the mainboard and remove the mainboard.
  13. Disconnect the RF line and the SUBFPC from the sub-board and remove them.
  14. Unfasten the screw and remove the sub-board.
  15. Place the phone screen-down on the heating table for 3–5 minutes at 80°C, then use a thin plastic card to separate the battery from the sides.
  16. Remove the vibrator and the SPKFPC.
  17. Remove the receiver.
  18. Remove the SKFPC contacts from the front cover.
  19. Remove the SKFPC from the side of the front cover.
  20. Disconnect the fingerprint module FPC from the mainboard and remove the fingerprint module.
  21. Disconnect and remove the front camera and the two back-camera modules.
  22. Disconnect and remove the main back-camera module from the mainboard.

💡 Reassemble in reverse order. After any disassembly that touches the rear cameras, you must run camera calibration (see our A52 camera calibration guide) or photos may come out soft or misaligned.
