ZTE Blade A52 Screen Replacement: Display Module Guide
The ZTE Blade A52 has a 6.52-inch IPS display. If the glass is cracked or the touch has stopped responding, the fix is a full display-module swap. This guide covers reaching and replacing the display module the way the teardown reference describes.
What you are replacing
On the A52 the display module (part #1 in the exploded diagram) is bonded to the front cover assembly. The screen connects to the mainboard through the LCD FPC ribbon. You disconnect that ribbon, separate the module and fit the new one.
Replacement steps
- Open the phone: remove the card tray, clip off the battery cover, remove the 17 bracket screws and both brackets (full order in our teardown guide).
- Disconnect the battery from the mainboard first for safety.
- Disconnect the LCD FPC (and the RF line, SUBFPC) from the mainboard.
- Heat the front around the edges to soften the display adhesive, then separate the old display module from the front cover with a plastic tool.
- Bond the new display module in place, route and reconnect the LCD FPC to the mainboard.
- Reconnect the battery last, reassemble the brackets and screws, and refit the battery cover.
💡 After opening the phone you should run the built-in function test with *983*70# to confirm the touch panel, display and keys all work before final assembly.
Do not skip camera calibration
The teardown reference states the rear cameras must be re-calibrated every time the phone is disassembled. After a screen repair, run camera calibration with *#*#83788#*#* so autofocus and image quality stay correct.
